At Hidden Valley Farms, we pride ourselves on the hay we produce. With four generations on this farm, we have learned the land and perfected our craft so you can be confident in what you are feeding your herd.
Meet Doug
Fourth generation farmer, Doug Powers Jr., specializes in providing horse quality hay in Virginia and along the East Coast. From a young age Doug was frequently in the hay fields-whether he was riding in the tractor while mowing hay with his grandfather or hand stacking bales in the barn, he has always been involved in the process. Now he applies all of his knowledge into managing his own several hundred acres of prime hay ground in the Shenandoah Valley and produces over forty thousand bales of high quality horse hay.
Hay fields are properly maintained each year with fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides to ensure the best quality and nutritional value.
